This design ultimately became the desktop theme I use for both home and work computers. Waking up early one Saturday morning allowed me to have a little fun with an existing file, originally created as a Flash project interface. The scope of the project was to build an executable to live on the desktops of technical writers which our design team supported. Individual elements surround the faded compass, working as clickable buttons to present various resourses our team supplied. The approach of this interface was to give a hand drawn "Leonardo" style. The compass was originally drawn in Illustrator, brought into PhotoShop, and smudged, smeared, and blurred. Click the link below to view the partially completed Flash file.
